about me!

Heya everyone! lets start with the basics, my name is Dawn, and I am married, and have three beautiful children. born and raised in the city of sin but now reside in a small town 4 hours north! I'm on the downward hill towards 30 (ahhhhhhh) I have a few addictions including: coffee, scarfs,  and statement necklaces. I love love love to cook, bake, and entertain! I am also a self taught photographer, and have been shooting people since 2006! I mostly decided to start blogging to share everything I cook with my friends and family! They are always asking for recipes to the things I make! I may mix it up and share some photography and other stuff as well though!

I meet my husband online, dose anyone meet their husbands the normal way anymore?! I was a single mother to my beautiful baby girl Miss Kimber-Ann doing my thing, living with my parents.  I actually “smiled” at him first, and then he messaged me! We started talking online and texting mid-October, and then we meet in person November 6^th when he was in town for the Marine Corp Birthday ball. My friends and I were at a LMAFO concert that night, while he was at the ball. After our concert was over, and he was done at the ball we meet up at the south point, in the parking garage, the little terd was still in his dress blues. Oh man was I jello, talk about HANDSOME! We jumped in the car and went down to the strip, things were going well. He kept trying to kiss me and I kept moving. Well I finally let him kiss me under the Eiffel Tower, being the smooth gentleman he was he said look we had our first kiss is Paris. Then he continued to walk around me down the strip so we could have a kiss in Roam, Egypt and so on…you get the trend, It was so romantic! The next day, we hung out again! We were basically inseparable the whole time he was in town. I also let him meet my precious daughter that day, it was instant love. And honestly the first time he held Kimber, and she fell asleep on his chest I knew he was the one.   I was super sad when he had to go back to Twentynine Palms on Sunday, a few days later he texted me “so you really wanna marry me” and I said yes I know such a romantic proposal ha. Then he said “so I guess this means you love me” to that I answered yes as well. I know we had only known each other in person like a week at this point but I knew I loved him with all my being and that he was the one for me, and my daughter. The next weekend he came back to Vegas and officially proposed and game me a ring, he was also so very sick, he got to town and went to kiss me I could feel the heat coming from him from his fever so I rushed him inside and put him to bed. So I began planning a wedding, we got married on December 5^th 2009 (my mom’s birthday haha)

That night we seriously joked about how our wedding would be who would of known that one month later we would actually be married.

we have now been married for 5 years, and have lived in 4 diff states and moved 11 times. We have had our fair share of ups and down, and been blessed with two more beautiful children. The sky’s the limit when you have eternity  to spend with the one you love
